My plan for this blog is pretty open-ended. I'm waiting to see if it turns into a real hobby of mine, or if I think it's a good idea today only to find that I'm bored of it a month from now. I tend to do that with a lot of things. One thing I've never grown bored of, however, is eating. And to eat, I must cook! Or have somebody else cook for me.
The problem with eating someone else's cooking is that (aside from a handful of people) you never know what you're going to get. It could be exquisite! It could be satisfying! It could be a bland, uninspired lump of glop on a plate that will only pass as "food" if it happens to taste better than it looks. But if it looks bad, it almost surely tastes bad. Then you're in the awkward position of coming up with a compliment that isn't quite a lie, but isn't quite true, as you check your watch to make sure you can still hit up McDonald's drive-thru on your way home.

Okay, I'm exaggerating, but I guarantee someone has been in that position before! And I guarantee it sucks.
So here's the deal. This blog is going to prove that you don't have to know how to cook to know how to cook. All you really need is the right ingredients and a few functioning taste buds. I'll be posting pictures of different parts of the process, a picture of the final product, and then a recipe in case it looks like something you would care to try on your own. I may even decide to post about failed attempts, for your amusement.
I can't promise that everything I post is going to be an original idea. In fact, if I feel like I've heavily borrowed ideas from a certain source I'll do my best to let everyone in on it. I can promise that I won't be following any recipes. Part of the fun, the art, and the learning process is trial and error. Right? Right.
Here's what's coming up:
Potato Salad
Stuffed Tomatoes
Homemade Veggie Burgers
Another Way to Eat Fish That Doesn't Include Lemon Pepper
And Much More!
And away we go...

Eee! I can't wait!
